Ridge Research is a trading name of Tritonberry Limited, a company registered in Ireland (company no. 804657), registered office 1A Kilfenora Drive, Donaghmede, Dublin 13, D13 FK35, Ireland ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact us at info@ridgemr.com.
What we collect
- Business contacts: name, work email, company, phone and the details you send us when you enquire, request a quote or become a client or supply partner.
- Survey respondent data: when we manage research projects, we process pseudonymous respondent identifiers, survey entry and completion status, timestamps, device and IP-based data used for quality and fraud checks, and the qualification answers needed to route respondents to suitable surveys. We do not collect survey answers on behalf of our clients beyond what is needed to deliver and quality-check the project.
- Website data: basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To respond to enquiries and manage client and supplier relationships (legitimate interests, and steps before entering a contract).
- To deliver research projects, including routing, quality control, fraud prevention, reconciliation and invoicing (performance of contract and legitimate interests).
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without consent.
Who we share it with
Only with parties who need it to deliver our services: research clients and sample suppliers involved in a project, our project management platform provider, hosting, email and accounting providers, and professional advisers. All are bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection terms.
International transfers
Some providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States and India. Where data is transferred outside the EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Business contact data is kept for as long as the relationship continues and for up to six years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Project and respondent data is kept only as long as needed to deliver, reconcile and invoice the project, normally no more than 24 months, unless a longer period is required by law.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, hashed respondent tokens and server-to-server verification to protect data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email info@ridgemr.com. You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
